The academy has decided to rename the Christian Köster New Talent Award - after its honorary member, Christian Köster, who passed away in the fall of 2019. In doing so, we also want to honor his life motto:

"In everyone's life there is a time to learn, a time to create and a time to teach”

Christian Köster, a producer, director, and professor of advertising at the University of Television and Film (HFF) in Munich, discovered and promoted outstanding talents such as Chiara Grabmayr and Frieder Wittich during his lifetime. Therefore, for the first time in September 2021, the Christian Köster New Talent Award was awarded to emerging talents.
